Support after an experience at ACCESS

The average stay of the clients at ACCESS is 30 days. The Aftercare Program was created for those who need services to extend beyond their 30-day stay.

This program allows all clients to receive services for up to 6 months after exiting the shelter. The agency’s intense programming and support services aim to identify barriers and change behavior over a short period of time. However, the staff has observed that the patterns and behaviors are not easily altered over the course of 30 days. The AfterCare Program was developed in response to the needs of the specific population we serve here at ACCESS.

We feel the clients have a better chance at succeeding if we do not abruptly remove the strong support system that has developed over the course of their 30 day stay.
