Na’Tajah

Na'Tajah came to ACCESS in March 2026 with her three children after escaping domestic violence and seeking a fresh start.

“My first day at ACCESS was relieving for me,” she said. “I’ve really been able to use my resources.”

During her stay, Na'Tajah embraced opportunities to heal and grow, especially through self-love classes offered by our partner, Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center. “It reminded me to put some time aside to myself even through the process of staying at a shelter.”

She also credits her case manager, Sybil, with helping her stay motivated as she worked toward permanent housing.

“Sybil is great,” she said. “She added fuel to my fire, and I really appreciate people like that. She’s been the one keeping my head together.”

Looking back, Na'Tajah noted how the staff treated her with dignity and compassion.“They didn’t make me feel I was less than because of my situation.”

Today, Na'Tajah is focused on building a stable future for her family and hopes to one day return to ACCESS—not as a resident, but as someone who can give back and help others on their own journeys.
