Mission ACCESS is dedicated to addressing the plight of homeless women and children in our community. The agency encourages the development of self-esteem and the attainment of self-sufficiency through its commitment of providing a holistic, safe and supportive environment, and through its programs of housing, advocacy and empowerment.
History ACCESS, Inc. was formed as a grassroots effort in 1983 to meet a need in Akron, Ohio that was not being adequately addressed by existing agencies.

Shelter from the Storm Breakfast

On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff and clients here at ACCESS, thank you so much for attending the 5th Annual “Shelter from the Storm” Breakfast and donating to ACCESS. I would like to give you an update on the overall success of the event. We met and exceeded our goal of the $25,000 match from Sterling Jewelers. When the final numbers were tallied the event raised very close to $71,000!!!

This is the most successful breakfast to date and we could not say that if it weren’t for your astounding generosity. Thank you again for your support and encouragement.
